Yesterday was an extremely epic day having signed the contract at Holmfirth Picturedome with Gary Numan for the Numan/Skaparis Tour in November.
Gary was playing at the Holmfirth Picturedome and we managed to sit together for about an hour before he went on stage, fleshing out more details for the Tour and talking through how the arrangements are working.
Gary’s set was incredible last night and we had the great privilege of hanging out with the band and Gary’s family, sharing a few beers after the show!
Many thanks to Paul Dixon for the great shot.
Finally got to the day when I can wave the stick rather than sit writing emails and calling players on the phone. Can’t wait for these amazing Skaparis cats to crank it up at the Harry Potter Convention at Chethams’s Stoller Hall in Manchester this weekend!
Very excited to have the new Skaparis stamps for stamping our new merchandise bags that will have their debut at the Harry Potter Convention in Manchester next week.
Many thanks for the great job by ‘Get Stamped’ based in Oxford.
The Skaparis has a rehearsal this coming Monday at the RNCM for the concerts at the new Stoller Hall at Chethams School of Music – I can’t wait to put that first down beat down for Star Wars!
A great photo back from the Leeds International Festival show on the 28th April a few months ago with the Classical Uproar team! Many thanks to Tony Hannan for the image.
More gigs to follow very soon – watch this space!
I’m very privileged to have Stephanie Halsey as the Skaparis Orchestra’s harpist for the Numan/Skaparis Tour.
Steph is an amazing player with a great deal of experience performing in high profile concerts.
I’ve just been working with her on Harp techniques as it’s a very complex instrument and requires the correct terms to be written in her music. She can’t wait to play!
Here working with Jan Bradley the Skaparis’s Multi-Percussionist for the Numan/Skaparis Tour in his basement percussion studio at his home earlier today.
I don’t think I’ve seen such an amazing array of different and cool percussion instruments in one space!
Here with the Classical Uproar team at the final rehearsal near Chester yesterday.
It was the first time we all met Tameka Jackson and immediately fell in love with her fabulous singing – she is so much fun to rehearse with!
We can’t wait for the Classical Uproar gig at the Festival at Millenium Square in Leeds on the 28th April – hope to see you all there!
This photo by the amazing Paul Husband at the Monastery gig on August 25th literally took my breath away as it looks like one of Rembrandt’s paintings – such incredible quality, thanks Paul!
